The Pingree School selected Galanis Consulting, LLC as Owner’s Representative for the construction of the new Academic Building for this 335 student campus, on 105 acres.

The project included the demolition of the existing Science Wing built in the 1960’s, and reconstruction of a new academic wing that contains English, History, Mathematics and Science. A 3,500 SF Art Gallery between the existing dining hall, and the new academic wing was also renovated with school in session.

The new academic wing, serving grades 9 through 12, contains smart boards in all class rooms, innovative science labs, and a multi-level common area.

The design of the academic wing takes it’s architectural cues from the school’s historic main house, including stone exterior, mahogany paneling, casework, generous period windows and stately Georgian style columns. The designers used the schools colors for walls, floors, classroom surfaces, furnishings and lighting selections.
